Eating while WFH...let’s talk about it 👇🏽

What you put in your body will make all the difference in how you feel the rest of the day.

When you don’t give your body enough food or rely on highly processed items like granola bars and microwavable meals, your body becomes depleted and malnourished.

And spoiler alert: surviving off coffee until 4 pm is NOT the answer! 🙅🏽‍♀️

So, if you’re living off coffee and granola bars, constantly wondering why you feel exhausted, fatigued, & brain fog, it’s your body telling you it needs FUEL, boo!

The best thing you can do to give yourself energy & feel clear-headed throughout the day is to eat whole foods.

Make sure you fill your plate with...

✅ A quarter of protein: chicken, lean ground beef, eggs, fish, greek yogurt, etc.

✅ Half fruits & veggies: broccoli, carrots, asparagus, strawberries, apples, etc.

✅ Quarter of grains: brown rice, quinoa, oats, farro, etc.

✅ Dollop of healthy fat: avocado, nuts, cheese, dark chocolate, nut butter, olive oil, etc.

The easiest way to make sure you’re eating balanced meals throughout your busy week is by meal prepping ahead of time. It doesn’t have to take a lot of time, but prepping a few simple items makes it much easier to meet your nutrition goals while working.

We live in a world that’s obsessed with numbers - this includes the number on the scale and the size of our jeans. We are constantly bombarded with the idea that our worth is somehow tied to our appearance (cue ‘summer body’ posts 🙄 ), but guess what?

It’s not.

Yes, our weight may fluctuate.

It’s a natural part of being human. Our bodies change and evolve over time and things like our age, birthing a human, hormones, lifestyle, genes, and more all play a part. But none of these fluctuations have any bearing on our worth as a person.

Because our worth is inherent.

It’s not determined by the size of our jeans or the number that stares back at us on the bathroom scale. It’s rooted in our kindness, our resilience, our compassion, and all the beautiful qualities that make us…US.

So can we flip the script, pretty please?

Let’s liberate ourselves from the shackles of unrealistic beauty standards and embrace the glorious diversity of our bodies.

Let’s celebrate every curve, every imperfection, and every inch of ourselves, knowing that they are all part of what makes us uniquely beautiful.

Let’s celebrate what our body CAN do.

Because when we embody our worthiness, we inspire others to do the same.

Oh, the next time you step on that scale and it’s not showing the number you hoped for, remember this:

You are still worthy. You are still enough. You are still deserving of love, respect, and all the good things life has to offer.

Your worth remains constant, boo.
